Karen -- There is a WordPress Codex that details all the common things to try. It is at: http://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble. You can try all the codex suggestions in an evening.
Hopefully, one of these will take care of your issue. I've tried everything on the sheet and still, I can seldom log in. I'm still looking for the other solution, the one not listed here.
