Ok, the last thing i tried was to go into the database wp_options and manually disable all the plugins. It scared me a little, but i'm somewhat operational at the moment. I think I has a corrupted plugin somewhere, and now i'm gradually re-activating them to see by process of elimination. Thanks for all the help everyone. talking to you guys was therapeutic for me brain wise.
Yes Westhost is terrible, but its what I inherited when I took over for this client. The previous admin kept installing random plugins that didn't make any sense, and i've been scared to delete any of them. At least now this gave me a reason. lol
