Hello
I am trying to roll back some changes that have been made to a wordpress website. The account connected to it was trying to update the main page for the website. She has persistent issues when trying to update various pages where everything will go blank on the editing screen. To remedy this, she was in the habit of copying the html code (which was still there but invisible) and then deleting the page, creating a new one of the same name, and pasting in the code. Clunky, but she found it worked for her to successfully update the pages.
Well so today she was having trouble and had to update the main page. She did her usually process, but this went very badly. I think she deleted the index.php page and now the site returned a 500 Internal Server Error upon going to any pages. I would like to undo changes. Unfortunately, the account is not even recognized anymore. She cannot sign in, and trying to recover the password says the account does not exist.
The account name is camiroberts and the website is stalbansparish.org
I am pretty sure that she is correct that camiroberts is the account name because there is still a page that hasn't been refreshed open that says "Howdy, camiroberts!" in the top right. She is confident that this is the username and that roberts.cami@gmail.com is the admin email. Signing in with that email only shows a very old wordpress that is completely unrelated to this one.
Does anyone have any idea of how to go about fixing this? I feel I could probably do a decent amount if I could just get into the account. Maybe someone from wordpress needs to roll it back?
Thanks for any help!
